Part of the reason I am busy at the moment is that I am completing the Chartered Institute for Public Relations’ Diploma in PR. This is an online, eight-month course that aims to bring PR professionals up-to-speed with the latest thinking on and practice in PR.
More than anything, I am enjoying the perspectives of my fellow students, PR professionals from all over Europe, who work in organisations as diverse as the police service, the national health service and the banking sector.
As I go along, I might post and share some information here.

There has been a lull in postings here for several reasons: 1. I took a full-time job and 2. I have started to study again.
armitagemedia continues to be open for business but I am no longer taking on big projects for myself. Instead, I am using my network to get the work done, helping my clients find people to do what needs doing and helping my contacts to get some additional gigs. All very charitable.
I’m now working at Swiss Re as a communications consultant, focusing on publications and some writing for the web. I work in the Issues Management team and I am also responsible for communications on some of the key issues that we track in the regulatory space.
