A by-line for me today in the Independent newspaper in London for a story about a company supplying security printing software to the Zimbabwean state printer. An interesting read.

My latest client is pro helvetia - the Swiss Arts Council.

They do fantastic work promoting Swiss art and Swiss artists around the world and operate an amazingly diverse, multi-lingual communications platform out of Zurich. I’ll be working together with others on a new platform that will help Swiss embassies and other organisations to learn more about what the Swiss arts scene has to offer.

Everyone is turning green. Not gangrenous green but environmentally green. I have friends in the UK who have ploughed up their back garden to grown turnips and others who steadfastly refuses to use air travel to go anywhere. They are restricted to a 100 mile radius around their homes. A self-imposed travel ban.

Valais glacier bluntly illustrates climate change

The Aletsch Glacier in southern Switzerland cascades down the Alps, seemingly pushing apart the mountains on either side. Its tongue, marked by two dark strips of moraine, stretches out across the broad valley and tumbles down the rock. That is how it looked in 1856. Viewed from the same vantage point 150 years later, you have to look far up into the mountains to see the snow and ice.
