Zurich is slowly preparing itself for the UEFA Euro 2008 football competition: hotels are booked out, a transport plan is close to coming together and some Zurichers are even starting to look forward to it!
As part of their media preparation, the Zurich Tourism association organised a media competition to recognise journalists who have been successful in publicising Zurich outside of Switzerland. While I did not walk away with one of the top prizes (20,000 euros no less), I did receive a ‘lobende Erwähnung’ for my hoerkolumnen.ch podcasts.
It’s nice to be appreciated!
